Don't worry; I totally get it—I'm not a fan of being in front of the camera either! But when we work together, my aim is to make you feel as comfortable as possible during our shoot. If there's ever a moment where you start feeling a bit awkward, I'll step in with some friendly guidance. Promise, it's going to be a blast. In fact, I find photoshoots often turn into a great time for families and couples to reconnect, just like this lovely email I received recently: "Thank you SO much again Lou! We actually had a fun time 😂 We are soooo excited to see the pics!"

I've actually transitioned away from having a photography studio. My preference is to capture the essence of newborns and families in their own homes, at a location of your choice or remote through your iPhone.

It completely depends on your personal preference however I would recommend digital for newborn, especially if there are toddlers involved. Film is an easy yes for everything else!

I'm all for photographing people in their homes or at a location of your choice. If we opt for an outdoor shoot, we might schedule it for times when the lighting is softer, like in the morning or late afternoon. Around the Limestone Coast, we're truly spoiled for choice when it comes to beautiful locations. We can discuss location options based on the season and your preferences when I gather more details in my questionnaire.

Absolutely! Your gallery includes a convenient print store where you can order prints, frames, and other beautiful products all in one place. I highly recommend using this print store for your special products. I spend countless hours perfecting the editing to ensure skin tones and exposure are just right, and it would be a shame to compromise that artistic direction with subpar printing.

I've been working with them since the start of my photography career, and their commitment to quality is truly exceptional. As for albums, I currently recommend using Artefact Uprising for creating photobooks with your memories to be cherished by future generations.

Absolutely! I adore animals, mums, and even the liveliest of neighbours. Please do consider though, that your plus ones may end up in the background of photographs and can sometimes (with the best of intentions) shift the kids focus from my flow. I tend to pivot and shoot freely and try to capture things as they unfold and I have had a few aunt Jude’s accidentally get in the frame. Just let me know when you book so we can plan accordingly for our shoot.

Within a full gallery, the number of images varies depending on the type of shoot and how the session unfolds. It might range from 80 to as many as 130 images, all delivered in high resolution and hand-edited.

Usually, it takes about 4-6 weeks. Sometimes I'm right on top of my game, and it might be sooner, but during busier times, it could take a bit longer. Rest assured, I'm constantly working diligently – perhaps even a bit obsessively (given my passion for my job)! I'm here, trying to strike that perfect balance between mum life and business life.

You'd think we don't get much rain in the Limestone Coast, right? Well, in case of unexpected weather hiccups, we can look for a plan B location if available. If that's not an option, we'll definitely reschedule. I aim to touch base with you about 24 hours before the session when possible. Once upon a time I did, but I retired from weddings when I became a mama. I have so many lovely enquiries asking, “Not even an elopement? Just the two of us and a celebrant?” But I fall easy on a slippery slope, and so it’s a hard no on any kind of weddings for now. I love you, but I promise you won’t twist my arm (but also congrats!)

I believe one of the most important things, before I even pick up my camera, is relationship. I value the genuine connection that happens when a client hand picks me as their artist. By committing to vouchers, clients might feel pressured to choose a photographer they’re not entirely aligned with. I want a photography experience to be personal, meaningful, and aligned with their vision.

Furthermore, I understand that financial situations vary. I don't want anyone to feel obligated to commit to something beyond their means.

As for availability, I can often be booked out months in advance. If someone received a voucher for a shoot they needed done within a specific timeframe (ie maternity and newborn shoots!), and I didn't have an opening, I would get the guilts big time!

I often suggest to pop some money in an envelope with "Louise Agnew Photography Photoshoot Funds!” on the front, to gift instead of a physical voucher. This way, they aren’t locked in and have the flexibility to reach out and book in when it suits them, without feeling tied down.

Simply put… obsessively. It’s a problem ha! I try to replicate the nostalgic tones and vibe of film photographs in my digital edits. I hand edit each of your photographs in either colour or black and white. People ask me how I know which ones to make colour or B+W… honestly, it’s just a sense I get. That artistic part of my brain I can’t quite describe, but I just KNOW what the photograph is meant to be.
